Do you know what it means to be a digital citizen?

Digital Citizenship includes:
  • knowing how to type and create documents, presentations, slideshows, etc. using technology
  • using social media responsibly (know when to post and when not to post)
  • learning how to code (learn how the internet works)
  • knowing what sources or articles are true and which are false, or knowing how to figure it out
  • using technology as a resource to help you in your classes and your personal life

You can watch the following videos for a review of digital citizenship concepts (thanks to Nearpod and Flocabulary <-- Miss Gilpin cites her sources!)
  1. "What is the Internet?"
  2. "Mindfulness & Meditation"

Play Newsfeed Defenders!
  • In this game, you will practice "managing a fictional social media site, learning how to identify problematic news items and credible sources" (iCivics),
    • (Click on the button that says "play" in the middle of the large cartoon image to play the game.)
Be Internet Awesome! (Google)
  • Defend your tower against hackers in the SciFi city of "Interland."
